What is Pluralism

Standar

It is really the same thing as multiculturalism – when a small group exists within a larger group and maintains its own identity
Pluralism is a term used when smaller groups within a larger society maintain their unique cultural identities, and their values and practices are accepted by the wider culture provided they are consistent with the laws and values of the wider society. Cultural pluralism is often confused with Multiculturalism. Multiculturalism lacks the requirement for a dominant culture.

Mutual respect between the various groups in a society for one another’s cultures, which allows minorities to express their own cultures without experiencing prejudice.
